Ahhh... Nice Warm Sand
Ever read Five Children and It? A lovely book about four siblings (and a baby brother) that find a Sand Fairy and what happens when their granted wishes start coming true. IJ and S really liked this book (not the movie so much), so they really enjoyed digging for Sand Fairies.
And burying each other (and their dad).
This tactile boy really like the nice warm sand and loved feeling it run through his fingers.
Does this girl hauling driftwood down the beach remind you of anyone? Family lore: A hauled a piece of Styrofoam down the beach at about this age.
I love the look on F's face as she gets tickled by her Sandy Daddy!
A Sand-wich
Baby D can't open his eyes all the way! It's too bright!
Baby D and I, feeling much better! But he started getting fidgety and needed a new diaper, so we had to head back to civilization.
On the way back, IJ discovered how much fun it was to jump off a sandy bank into the stream.
And before we knew it, all the kids were having a blast rolling down the hill and shouting, "Cowabunga!" Even F finally started liking the water. And then we had to really leave.
And F did not want to go.
